About this app

FlashGreek PRO: The Evolution of the Flashcard!

Learn koine Greek vocabulary faster with multimedia Greek flashcards built for seminary and Bible college students. From the maker of ParseGreek, FlashGreek PRO helps you memorize the vocabulary of the Greek New Testament by frequency, by root, by part of speech, or chapter by chapter alongside your intro grammar, including Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek.

MULTIMEDIA GREEK FLASHCARDS
Every word taught in the supported introductory grammars, and every word that occurs 20 times or more in the New Testament, includes:
• Audio for both sides of the card (Erasmian pronunciation)
• A contextual example from the New Testament
More than 600 of the most common words also have a picture and an English mnemonic to help them stick.

STUDY YOUR WAY
• Tailor Greek vocabulary quizzes to exactly what you're studying, with as much or as little multimedia as you like
• Reverse your Greek flashcards to practice English to Greek
• Skip words you've already answered correctly a set number of times
• Slideshow mode with looping for hands-free review on your commute
• Principal parts mode to drill verb principal parts

Whether you're cramming for this week's vocab quiz or building toward reading the koine Greek of the New Testament, you'll be acing those Greek vocabulary tests in no time.

A NOTE ON ACCURACY
• Independent app: FlashGreek is not affiliated with any publisher or author. It is designed to be compatible with these grammars, not an official companion to any of them.
• Chapter lists: I've worked hard to match each textbook's chapter vocabulary exactly, but mistakes can happen. Please check against your textbook, and let me know about any errors so I can fix them.
• Definitions: Glosses come from Accordance Bible Software. Authors sometimes gloss words slightly differently. The differences are usually minor, but check your textbook when it matters.

Handy app, and I'm learning with it, but two issues prevent me from rating it five stars. First, it would not install until I uninstalled the lite version. I went through a lot of frustration and a failed refund request until I saw someone's review pointing this solution out. At least note this in the app description. Second, it needs to be able to save quiz settings so you don't have to mark all the desired options every time.

Thank you very much for the review. I will take your advice and make that note in the description of the apps, and plan to fix this issue in a coming release. The "save quiz settings" is also planned for a future release - it is a much requested feature

Has a ton of vocab from different textbooks and, I think, good audio - though I'm new to koine Greek so take that with a grain of salt. The audio sounds human; I doubt if it's a computer. So that's a big selling point for me. I wish there was a way to view the cards as a list, and a way to replay the Greek pronunciation audio after flipping the card. Sometimes the pictures don't seem related. Honestly, it's worth it, to me, just for the audio since I'm teaching myself.

Very helpful and enjoyable to use. It's really amazing that it has all the vocabulary words from all the lessons in the textbook I use. One thing I wish is that when I make my settings choices for a given session, they would remain in effect for the next session, until I wish to change them. I don't like to have to start from scratch changing the settings every time. Other than that, it's a very good app.

Thanks so much for your honest rating and review. I will make a note of this for my coder to look at in the future for the settings issue.
