About this game

Knucklebones is a two-player dice game. Each player has a board of three columns, three dice deep. On your turn you roll one die and drop it into one of your columns.

A column scores the sum of its dice, but matching dice multiply. Two 4s in a column count 16, and three count 36. Placing a die also knocks every die of the same face out of the opposing column. When either board fills up, the higher total wins.

Bone Table shows both boards and every column total during the match. Before you commit a die, it shows how much the column gains and which of the other player's dice it will knock off.

Play the computer on Easy, Medium, or Hard. Hard weighs the other player's best reply before it picks a column. Pass the phone back and forth for a game on one screen, or play live on two phones. Open a public table other players can join, or a private room with a code and a share link. In live games you have 15 seconds to choose a column after your die lands. Games against the computer and pass and play have no clock. Leaving a live game in progress gives the other player the win.

There are 15 trophies. Some are single moments, like three 6s in one column or knocking off three dice with one placement. Others count win streaks up to twelve and finished games up to a hundred. Each trophy is also a Google Play Games achievement, and there is a leaderboard for games won.

The install is free, and you sign in with Google. Your first three finished games against the computer are free. Pass and play and live tables need the unlock, and once the free games are used, the whole app does. The unlock is a one-time $1.99 purchase. There is no subscription and there are no ads.
