About this app

Daily Halacha with sources, for study.

Kitzur Shulchan Aruch brings the classic works of Jewish law into one library: the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch of Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, the four parts of Rabbi Yosef Karo's Shulchan Aruch (Shulchan Arukh) with the glosses of the Rema, the Aruch HaShulchan of Rabbi Yechiel Michel Epstein, and the Mishnah Berurah on Orach Chayim from siman 187. Read seif by seif in the original Hebrew, and in English where a translation exists.

THE LIBRARY
- Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, all 221 simanim, vocalized Hebrew with the Metsudah English translation
- Shulchan Aruch: Orach Chayim, Yoreh De'ah, Even HaEzer and Choshen Mishpat, with the Rema's glosses marked
- Aruch HaShulchan on the four parts, with Seder HaGet and Seder Chalitza
- Mishnah Berurah (Mishna Berura) on Orach Chayim from siman 187 onward, one tap from the seif it explains
- Jump straight to any siman and seif, as numbered in print

THE DAILY TRACKS
The Today screen opens on your portion:
- Halacha Yomit: a few seifim of the Shulchan Aruch each day, the same for every learner
- Aruch HaShulchan Yomi: a steady daily portion through the Aruch HaShulchan
Mark the day done, and a daily reminder brings you back tomorrow.

LISTEN FREE
Hear the text read aloud in Hebrew, or in English where a translation exists, siman by siman, on the way to work or between learning sessions. Listening is free for everyone.

RABBI ARI, FOR STUDY
Ask Rabbi Ari about the seif in front of you. He answers from the sources and cites the siman and seif, so you can open them and learn them yourself. Every answer comes with sources for study. Rabbi Ari explains; he does not give a practical ruling. For a practical question, ask your rabbi.

CUSTOM
The Shulchan Aruch rules by Sephardi custom, the Rema's glosses by Ashkenazi custom, and the Kitzur follows Ashkenazi custom. Every siman opens with this note.

PREMIUM
The texts and the listening are free. Premium adds:
- Unlimited questions to Rabbi Ari, with sources for study
- Every Mishnah Berurah comment on Orach Chayim from siman 187 on, beyond the first ones open to all
- Unlimited bookmarks
- Copy and share any seif
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.

Sources: free editions, among them Torat Emet, Hebrew Wikisource (CC-BY-SA), Sefaria (CC0) and the Metsudah translation of the Kitzur (CC-BY). Every seif names its Hebrew and English source and license.
