Helpy Translate translates between 23 languages with an AI that runs on your phone. The translation needs no internet and no cloud. It is free, with no account, no ads and no tracking.

TRANSLATE TEXT AND FILES
- Type, paste or dictate a text and translate it into any of the 23 languages.
- The language of the text is recognised as you type, or you choose it.
- Names, addresses, e-mails, numbers and dates are usually kept as they are.
- Open a text file and translate it into a new file, with the time left shown; a long translation can be paused and continued later.
- Copy the translation, hear it read aloud, or save it as a file.

QUICK MESSAGES
- Short messages one after another, each translated at once, with read aloud on demand or always.

CONVERSATION
- Two people, two languages: the phone listens in the language of the one whose turn it is, translates and reads the translation aloud, then listens to the other one.
- Tap Translate now when you are done speaking, pause or end at any time.
- No voice? Write instead: choose who writes and the conversation goes on.

LEARN A LANGUAGE: LISTEN, REPEAT, LEARN
- Write or say a sentence in your language and get it in the language you are learning, read aloud.
- Hear it again at the usual pace or slowly, to catch every word.
- Practise speaking with Repeat after me: the words you pronounce right turn green, the others are underlined, and you see how much you said right.
- Learn the phrases you really need, for travel, work or everyday life, in any of the 23 languages.

HELPY
- Ask in your own words: "translate into Spanish: where is the station?" or "how do you say thank you in German?".

TRANSLATE FROM YOUR COMPUTER
- Type in your computer's browser while your phone does the translating, over your local Wi-Fi.
- Start it from the app's menu, open the address your phone shows and enter the code.
- Keep that screen open on the phone; its screen stays on during the session. Access stops when you leave it.
- Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network, and some guest or office networks block this. It does not work from outside your network, and the connection on your Wi-Fi is not encrypted.

Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian. The app itself is in all 23.

PRIVACY
- The translation runs on your phone, and no text is sent to us or to a cloud service. The app collects no data.
- The app asks you for the microphone, for dictation, conversations and practice. It also has network permissions, used only for computer access, which is off until you start it.
- Dictation uses your phone's speech recognition and reading aloud uses your phone's voices. Languages downloaded on the phone work without a connection; for the others, the phone's speech service may use its connection. Settings, Languages for voice shows which ones your phone has.
